 | Amarone Valp. Classico DOC Speri 2001 Very rich, fruity and alcoholic (14.5%) it is renowned as Italy's biggest and most unique red wine. Produced in only 5 delimited communes in Valpolicella Classico, it is unique due to its special winemaking technique "appassimento": before pressing the bunches of grapes are dried for 4 months on tiered mats in airy lofts where they lose at least 30% of their original weight, which highly concentrates the fruit and aromas.
