Maraschino Luxardo is produced from the distillation of a variety of the Marasca sour cherry cultivated for the Luxardo family since 1821 and infused for years in wood vats.  The distillate is allowed to mature in ash vats and then diluted and sweetened.  Serving suggestions;  in mixed drinks and over fruits: strawberries, sliced oranges , pineapple, fruit salads, etc.
