Cold Fact is the album from singer-songwriter Sixto Rodriguez, who became a cultural phenomenon in South Africa and was made internationally famous in the film "Searching for Sugar Man" It is also a play on the cold soak technique we use to extract flavour from the skins of our ripest Sauvignon Blanc grapes (we search for sugar man) which are then chilled and left for hours or even overnight on the skins, with the process helping to extract the intense flavours associated with this highly aromatic grape variety. This unoaked wine exudes aromatics of blackcurrant leaf & ripe Cape fig balanced by a complex fruit structure and sweet Provencal herbs on the finish.

Seriously Old Dirt 2019 displays a brilliant, deep garnet-red colour. This wine delivers layers of fresh fruit on the nose; plum, black cherry, and blackberry along with warm notes of baking spice and vanilla pod. Subtle liquorice and seductive tobacco and hazelnut add a luxurious dimension. Flavours of ripe black cherry develop into lovely mineral notes, along with a lingering finish. Sumptuous and supple, with a line of acidity, giving elegance and balance. Though more firmly structured than recent predecessors, this vintage remains true to the essence of Seriously Old Dirt, with an approachable, youthful energy.

In the farthest flung corners of the Cape, lie gnarly, old national treasures - ancient vines once farmed with Percheron draft horses, both now a rare breed. Percheron Chenin Blanc Viognier celebrates this harmonious marriage of nature. Richly aromatic on the nose with vibrant white stone fruit flavours and a pure, balanced finish.

A 60/40 Cabernet Franc and Malbec with a parcel of fine Paarl Malbec. 18 months in oak have left a silky, textural palate with succulent fruit and spicy depth. Naturally fermented. from the Coastal Region of South Africa.
